This patch is to resolve an issue regarding a Windows Update around February 12, 2019 (or later) that replaced a file critical to the proper operation of the Tenant File program.

This patch simply replaces the Windows file with a file that has a slightly older version. We don't think it will affect the Windows Update, but it should allow the Tenant File to run properly. However, you should make a backup of your ENTIRE TENANT FILE FOLDER first, just to have a safety copy.

During this process you might get notifications of registration, requests for permission, or warnings that this could be an unsafe file, which is normal. Just allow access and continue.

Note: At the end, the patch will find the file in this folder and copy it to your Windows\SysWOW64\ folder. (That is your 64-bit folder). If for some reason, it cannot find the file to copy during the processing, you can simple copy/paste the file yourself. It is the file in this folder: msrd2x40.dll
